The Progress Report
Hi Reader,
Dr. Justin Baeder's workshop (watch here) last week was a success! We learned about using AI to give better feedback, and the importance of using a neutral tone to reduce defensiveness. Asking questions, providing encouragement, and supporting others in their learning journey were also emphasized. Overall, it was an informative and engaging session, and we're excited for future workshops.
Speaking of which, tomorrow night we will be talking about improving relationships with AI with LaTisha Cole. Register here if you haven’t yet.
And you’re going to love the sneak peek into what we’re creating ourselves!
Worth Reading
We’ve seen a lot of examples of the last week of failures and successes of where AI is at right now. This doc is a good primer on what we can effectively expect from different models that exist right now. OpenAI is getting a lot of attention right now, but there are several other models and methods out there as well.
Worth Seeing
It’s pretty amazing what people are creating right now. Peter Hollens posted this on Twitter:
What happens when you make a 100% AI music video using:
- ChatGPT for the shotlist
- Midjourney for the scenes
- RunwayMl for set extension and fixing some assets
- kaiberAi for the animated vid / using the Midjourney exportsD-iD ai for the singing part?
The Future is gonna be awesome

Worth Hearing
Dr. Andrew Huberman is an American neuroscientist and tenured associate professor in the department of neurobiology and psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine and has an extensive podcast about many health-related issues. Most of his episodes are quite long, but this new tool called Dexa enables you to search through his archive and find just the thing you want. What’s a great morning routine? How do I lose weight? How do I build muscle. How do I improve resilience?
What’s amazing here is that you can use semantic search to get what you’re looking for. Semantic search is searching with meaning, as opposed to lexical searching, which is searching for exact meaning.
In the Huberman Lab example above, searching for resilience returns results about doing cold plunges to help you build mental resilience.
Dexa also created something similar for the Jordan Harbinger show and the results there are more about relationships impacting your resilience.
Worth Quoting
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman wrote a piece about the future of artificial general intelligence. In it, he wrote: “AGI has the potential to give everyone incredible new capabilities; we can imagine a world where all of us have access to help with almost any cognitive task, providing a great force multiplier for human ingenuity and creativity.”
